Grand Duke of Tuscany – Jasmine sambac

The Grand Duke of Tuscany, suggested to be grown in a hardiness zone of 10, is a member of the evergreen jasmine family.  Also commonly known as the Rose jasmine or Butt Mograw, the Grand Duke of Tuscany is the national flower of the Philippines.  Preferring well-drained, somewhat acidic soil, the Grand Duke is a slow growing jasmine which produces flowers that resemble a gardenia or small white rose.  Typically growing between 6 and 10 feet tall, the Grand Duke of Tuscany can be utilized as a potted plant with a preference for full to sun to partial shade.
